The EQrento website currently sets no cookies. It stores only your choice from the cookie banner in your browser’s local storage, which is strictly necessary and needs no consent. We use analytics or marketing tools only if you agree to them – none are in use at present.
This Cookie Policy applies to eqrento.com (the “Website”), operated by SOLTIX Sp. z o.o. (“we”, “us”). How we process personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device (computer, tablet or phone) and reads on later visits. Similar technologies work in a comparable way: local storage keeps data in your browser, and pixels or tags are small pieces of code that send information about your visit to a server.
These technologies may be first-party (used by the website you visit) or third-party (used by another company whose service the website relies on). Session items disappear when you close the browser; persistent ones stay until they expire or you delete them.
In this Policy, “cookies” covers all of these technologies.
2. What the Website stores on your device
At present, the Website does not set any cookies. It uses one necessary item in your browser’s local storage:
| Name | Type and provider | Purpose | Category | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| eq-cookie-consent | Local storage, first-party: SOLTIX Sp. z o.o. (eqrento.com) |
Remembers your choice in the cookie banner – the categories you accepted, the date of your choice and the version of this Policy – so that we do not ask you again on every visit | Necessary | Until you change your choice or clear your browser data; we ask again when this Policy changes |
This item stays in your browser and is not sent to us. Fonts, images and videos on the Website are served from our own server, and the Website does not embed content from other companies, such as YouTube videos, maps or social media plugins.
3. Legal basis
Storing information on your device, or reading information already stored there, is governed by Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law of 12 July 2024 (Prawo komunikacji elektronicznej), which implements Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC.
- Necessary items need no consent, because they are required to provide the Website you are using (Article 399(3) of that law). The eq-cookie-consent item falls into this category.
- Analytics and marketing items may be used only after we have informed you and you have given your consent (Article 399(1)). Where they involve personal data, we process it on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time. Refusing does not limit your access to any part of the Website.
4. Managing your choices
When you first visit the Website, a banner lets you choose:
- Accept all – allows the Analytics and Marketing categories;
- Reject all – keeps only the Necessary category;
- Customize – lets you switch individual categories on or off and confirm with Save my choices.
Until you make a choice, only necessary items are used, and we do not treat continued browsing as consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via in the Website footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
You can also decide in your browser settings whether websites may store and read information on your device, and delete what is already stored:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari on Mac; on iPhone and iPad, in the device Settings under Safari
- Microsoft Edge
If you block or clear local storage, the Website cannot remember your choice and will show the banner again.
5. Analytics and marketing tools
The banner includes the Analytics and Marketing categories, but no such tools are active on the Website at present.
Before we start using any of them, we will list each tool in the table in section 2 – with its provider, purpose, retention period and any transfer of data outside the European Economic Area – and update the date of this Policy. These tools will load only after you consent to the relevant category, and we will ask for your choice again when we add them.
6. Contact and changes to this Cookie Policy
If you have questions about cookies on the Website, write to [email protected] or to SOLTIX Sp. z o.o., ul. Gen. Władysława Sikorskiego 19, 65-454 Zielona Góra, Poland.
We will update this Cookie Policy whenever the technologies used on the Website change. The current version is always available on the Website, with the date of the last update at the top.
